Emtek Receives Federal Support
EMTEK RECEIVES FEDERAL SUPPORT
Emtek Processed Alloys Inc. is excited to announce that it has received $597,125 from the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) as part of broader support for businesses and organizations across the Waterloo and Brant regions.
The funding will support a $1.59-million project to modernize operations at Emtek’s Cambridge facility through the adoption of advanced equipment, helping the company expand its capabilities and continue strengthening its role as a full-service processing partner for Canadian manufacturers.
For Emtek, this support represents an important step in the company’s continued growth. Since 2012, Emtek has focused on providing dependable, high-quality precision cutting and processing of stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum and other specialty materials. The support will help Emtek adopt new technology and equipment, build on that foundation, improve its capabilities and better serve customers as their needs continue to evolve.
“We’re incredibly excited about what this support means for Emtek and for our customers. It gives us the opportunity to invest in new technology, expand our capabilities, and continue building on what our team has accomplished over the years. We’re proud to be growing right here in Cambridge, and we’re grateful for the support from FedDev Ontario as we take this next step forward.”
— Jeff Emrich, President, Emtek Processed Alloys
Emtek is proud to be part of a strong manufacturing community in Cambridge and across southern Ontario and appreciates the support that is helping Canadian manufacturers modernize, grow and remain competitive.
There is plenty of work ahead, and the Emtek team looks forward to putting this support to work on the shop floor and for its customers.
