Laser cutting technology uses a concentrated beam to cut materials, and is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications. Material melts, burns, vaporizes, and is blown away by a jet of gas (typically nitrogen or oxygen), leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish.
Water Jet is often used during fabrication or manufacture of parts for machinery and other devices. It is the preferred method when the materials being cut are sensitive to the high temperatures generated by other methods. It has found applications in a diverse number of industries from mining to aerospace.
Abrasive polishing is a mechanical process to remove excess materials from the wafer surface by letting abrasives cut into the surface to be polished.
